Having trouble with the golf swing basics? You are not
alone. What seems to be easy enough is in actual fact very
difficult. However, help is at hand. If you follow the 3
steps I'm about to reveal to you your game will improve
almost overnight. Read on to find out more.

When it comes to the golf swing basics you first have to
make it less complicated. The more golf swing thoughts you
have the more confused you will be. Try to clear your mind
and let your muscle memory take care of the swing. Practice
will help your golf swing become second nature in the same
way as riding a bike became when you were a child.

1) Spend as much time as possible imagining that you have a
baseball bat in your hands. Swing it as if you were playing
baseball - this is the swing motion you are looking for. If
you can master this the game of golf will become much easier
for you.

2) Forget about hitting the golf ball as far as you can.
Focus more on technique and in particular your short game.
The shorter shots tend to be easier to control so this is
where your edge is. You can spend more time on your driver
later on. Just think - if you can master the short game then
when you come to putting more effort into your longer shots
you could be unstoppable. This also includes putting - no
point in driving 300 yards if you're going to 3 putt your
way around.

3) Develop a pre-shot routine. The pros do it to help them
focus and clear their mind. The fact is golf is more about
how you control your emotions than actual technique. you
could have the most natural golf swing in the world but if
if you get too angry on the course your game can fall apart.
The routine could be anything - make sure it's repeatable
and helps you get rid of all the negative thoughts from your
mind.

The golf swing basics are alot easier to learn when you put
these 3 steps into action. The less you think about what
you're doing the better. As you grow more confident you can
start to add more weapons to your game.

Owning your own miniature golf course is just the kind of
business venture that will help you ride out the recession.
With so many people not knowing how secure their jobs are it
is better that you stick to running your own business. But
having a miniature golf course is not the only important
thing. You need to know how to effectively promote it so
that people will come play miniature golf. Especially during
the warmer seasons when people are keen to step out and do
something fun, you should know how to encourage people to
come and play mini golf. Here are some tips and suggestions
that will help your miniature golf business flourish.

Hire a mini golf course designer to help you strategically
map out a challenging and entertaining mini golf course. A
mini golf course designer will visit your property to assess
the topography. Once they have seen where your property
elevates and declines they will begin outlining the ideal
structure for your mini golf course. They will plan
attractive nooks for waterfalls, streams, bridges, and
ponds. They will contact their reliable sources for the best
quality materials to use for building your miniature golf
course. Because they are construct miniature golf courses on
a regular basis, they know the ideal materials to use and
who to contact for the best quality materials. This is a
whole lot better than you trying to figure it out on your
own. Because they regularly purchase materials from their
sources they also get a better deal making the cost of
building a miniature golf course much less than if you were
to build it on your own. They will also put in lighting
fixtures to highlight the most beautiful areas of your
miniature golf course so that people will be able to see
your location from far away.

Having a theme for your mini golf course is very important
and is a contributing factor that encourages families with
children to come visit. Children enjoy seeing the colorful
sceneries and going through the anticipation of playing from
the first putting hole and not knowing what to expect till
the end. Popular miniature golf course themes include
islands and pirates, zoo and wild life animals, and
metropolitan cities. A mini golf course designer will help
your incorporate the theme of your choice into the mini golf
course you want to construct. They can also provide you
other options which you might have not considered that will
help attract more business to your mini golf course.

You will have an easier time attracting people to come play
at your miniature golf course if you are located near main
roads that receive a lot of traffic. You also have a great
advantage if you are situated near major shopping malls and
restaurants. Most people enjoy taking the time to play some
miniature golf to kill time before a movie or after eating
at a restaurant. If you also have food being offered people
can come to eat and play, spending more money and a longer
amount of time on your miniature golf course. Miniature golf
courses also keep arcade games to give people something
entertaining to do while they are taking a break. After
spending a couple hours playing arcade games they will feel
keen to go out and play a couple rounds of mini golf. Your
miniature golf course will reap a lot of business if you
take the time to make it attractive and appealing for your
customers. It will ensure that they come to visit your
miniature golf course again and again.

I always wanted to get a car of my own so that I could go
wherever I liked and I could stay out late without my Mom
wanting to pick me up and take me home when I am done. It is
pretty embarrassing for a guy who is in high school so when
I realized that I have been saving a lot of money I started
searching for used VW golf cars being sold around the area.

You might be wondering why I am aiming to get a used VW
golf. Well this is because of the fact that I can get it for
a cheaper price if it is second hand. I chose the VW golf
model because I heard that it was a very sturdy and durable
model. The car had a sleek style and look not only in the
outside but in the inside as well.

When I found out that there was one available online, I
immediately contacted the dealer and checked out the used VW
golf car. I was ecstatic to see that it was in great shape
and there were no major damages. The car still drives well
and the interior did not receive any damage at all. The
owner told me he only had it for two years but his job
reassigned him to another country so he decided to sell it.
I thought it was a good deal all in all.

Now that I had my own car, I started aiming for the girl of
my dreams. You see I had a problem asking her out since all
the guys who asked her out had cars of their own. Now that I
have my own VW golf I felt more confident when I approached
her and asked her out.

I was glad that she had said yes. But what took me away was
the way she went crazy over my car - Looks like she was in
to VW golf as well. She informed me that her father recently
gave her permission to get a car of her own and she was
looking exactly for this model. When she asked me if she
could drive, I let her. I never saw her looked so excited
and thrilled.

A few weeks later, she was finally my girlfriend. I would
like to say I charmed her off but I have to give credit to
my car as well.

If there were two things that I have longed for with so much
intensity it is getting my own VW golf and asking the girl
of my dreams out on a date.

Golf is a game that demands determination, dedication and
discipline. It is true that golf swing fundamentals goes the
same for one and all but then this game may prove to be a
bit challenging for the amateurs.

Hence as a beginner you need to familiarize yourself with
the golf swing fundamentals or rather the methods of
carrying out a perfect golf swing. While the best golf swing
is there, it's elusive as it differs from one person to the
other. Knowledge and practice play a major role in the game
of golf. Once you get hold of the adequate golf swing, you
will find yourself in a much more calm and confident
position.

If you are keen on knowing about golf swing fundamentals,
then read on...

Prefer keeping your head still and eyes fixed on the ball.
This helps in straightening the alignment of your spine and
set perfect aim at the ball. The spine is considered as the
axis that helps you in going for a swing. What is intended
out here is that you need to maintain a straight posture for
best results. Ensure keeping your head straight and nose
facing upwards. Prefer placing your shoulder a bit under
your chin when it comes to going for a swing. Don't tuck
your head into your chest. Instead it would be advisable on
your part to keep everything straight as that helps to
strike the ball perfectly at the center. If you keep your
head straight and keep your eyes consistent on the ball,
then I am sure you can over the repeated problems that you
face with golf swings.

Your second step involves in assuming a perfect position for
your feet as well as knees. Make sure that your feet are
perfectly well fitted to the ground. Keep your knees
straight so as to allow pivoting to take place. Ensure
bending a bit forward towards your waist while keeping your
eye on the ball. Lower hip rotation in order to prevent
swaying and don't overdo your backswing. This approach of
yours will allow your left shoulder to strike your chin upon
swinging.

Balance and position are the key points of a golf swing as
it leads to good power and consistency. Another thing where
you need to focus on is relaxation. Don't be tense as it
would simple worsen your golf swing. Keep your muscles
relaxed and try maintaining your balance as well as flow
with the swing as smoothly as you can. I agree that you may
find this a bit tedious initially but with practice things
are sure to turn pretty simple. You can keep yourself
relaxed by breathing in and out slowly and maintain a
position without tensing your muscles. Make sure to retain
this position for a minimum of 15 seconds prior to going for
your swing practice. Keep your body weight on your feet and
avoid getting tensed.

So why look for options when it comes to making your game of
golf a successful one! Follow these golf swing fundamentals
for improving your overall game.

In Closing:

Golf is a game that not only challenges your physical skill
but also your ability to stay calm and focused. It turns
out, it's also a great way to boost your brain power. No
matter what your handicap, golf can provide a fun, social
way to stimulate your brain, increase your self esteem and
sharpen your concentration. Here's how.

1) Increased Blood Flow To The Brain

Whenever your body is in motion, your brain benefits by the
increased blood flow. Next time you hit the course, walk a
few holes rather than driving them. The extra steps can go a
long way towards stimulating your brain function and
increasing your energy.

2) Vision Work Out

When you golf, you not only have to focus on the ball while
it's at your feet, but also as it flies over the green.
Therefore, you're giving your eyes a visual workout and
stimulating the tracking functions in your brain. Lose sight
of the ball after your swing? No worries, you'll still get a
workout as you look for it in the grass.

3) Positive Affirmations

Many golfers give themselves positive reinforcement during
the round. Whether you say it to yourself ("I will make this
putt") or out loud as a bet amongst your friends, positive
affirmations can lead to increased confidence and self
esteem.

4) Coordination

Golf is often referred to as a game that requires excellent
coordination. Whether it's hand-eye, repeated precision
strokes, or balance as you complete your swing, all of these
practices exercise your cerebellum - one of the areas of
your brain responsible for coordination.

5) Self Esteem Boost

A 2003 study showed that the brains of people with a low
sense of worth were more likely to shrink than those with
high self esteem. Poor results on memory and learning tests
were a result of the shrinkage. Finishing a tough round of
golf gives you a sense of completion and a nice boost to
your esteem - no matter how you scored (ok, sometimes it's
tied to the score).

Next time you want to find a fun and physical way to boost
your brain power, head on over to the course. Grab some
friends, your best imagination and problem-solving skills -
and hit the green. Cart optional.

Putting at a miniature golf course has evolved greatly from
simply putting the ball into a hole. A mini golf course is
all about strategic location, interesting and challenging
putting holes and creating an attractive scenic environment
for people to play in. If you have the luxury of choosing
where you can build your miniature golf course choose a
setting which is nearby a shopping mall, a village center, a
grocery store, a school, a movie theater, or a hotel. The
idea is that miniature golf can be played and enjoyed any
time of the day. There is no specific time limit to go and
play. It is the perfect stress relieving activity for people
to occupy themselves with between running their errands.

All successful miniature golf course designs have a specific
theme to create consistency and attract people to come
experience a particular environment. It would be a good idea
to work in any local attraction to project your mini golf
course. For example, if there?s an aquarium nearby you could
do an underwater theme. Is there a science museum around the
corner? You could plan a bugs in your backyard environment.
Disney characters, haunted house and zoo animals are some
popular themes already being used on miniature golf courses
across America.

Building a miniature golf course is a profitable investment
for you. You will be able to recover the money you spend in
building a miniature golf course by offering it to the
public for a nominal playing fee. A mini golf course will
provide you extra income for you to fall back on. You can
offer the rental of your mini golf course for private
parties such as birthdays, anniversaries and graduations.
The mini golf business is a smart venture to get into
because it attracts people of all ages. It is one of those
activities which people will continue to enjoy for many
years to come.

The first smart decision you should make is hire a miniature
golf course builder. They are experienced with laying out
the correct foundation to make sure you don?t experience
problems such as flooding and the buildup of water. Such
problems could ruin the mini golf course structure that you
have taken so much time and effort to invest in. They will
use affordable sturdy materials and will help you design the
mini golf course exactly as you see fit. They are aware of
the newest mini golf course trends and can help you
incorporate the necessary aspects to attract people to come
and play.

So instead of just letting vacant property sit idle why not
turn it into something beneficial? Worthy resources and
contacts enable a mini golf course builder to construct your
course at an affordable price than if you were to build one
on your own. A miniature golf course builder will help you
through the process of deciding what miniature golf course
design will suit your property and will build it exactly the
way you pictured it.

Bob Horwath is an expert Miniature Golf Course Builder and
has been constructing miniature golf courses for the last 25
years. Bob has created over 150 miniature golf courses
around the world. Please visit http://www.horwathgolf.com/

Like many sports Golf requires a few items of equipment in
order to play, but golf may be considered as one of the more
expensive participation sports as golf clubs and accessories
can be quite expensive, especially as you progress in the
sport and your game demands better equipment and clubs in
order to achieve the better scores.

There are ways to make savings on your golf equipment and
fees. There are golf supply warehouses that are great places
to go first when searching for cheaper golf clubs and
equipment. These shops are home to equipment and clubs that
are either second hand or 'end of line' products. These
clubs are usually previous models or older models than the
pro shops stock, often in perfectly good working order you
can get serious bargains on not only golf clubs but also
balls and golf clothing which also gets replaced very
quickly.

Another option would be to see if anyone in your area is
looking to sell their old equipment. Many golfers will not
use their clubs for too long before quickly replacing them
with the latest models available, so the ones they are
selling are in good condition (assuming they have looked
after them).

Actually playing a game of golf can be expensive for regular
golfers as green fees are always required to play on the
course. Green fees pay for the upkeep and maintenance of the
course so it is a necessary cost but on some courses this
fee can be quite steep. Competition grade courses,
especially the big name courses can cost a lot of money just
to play a round of golf on but there are many 2 for 1 offesr
that apply to most courses.

As long as you can book a time that suits two of you, two
golfers can play a round together for the price of one.
There are nearly a thousand golf courses that accept these
promotions so it may be worth checking out the courses
you've always fancied playing but have been put off because
of the cost.

The cost of golf doesn't need to be as expensive as some
people fear. The increased interest in the sport has led
many people, both young and old, male and female, to take up
the sport and enjoy their round of golf at the weekend. With
such wide appeal golf is a great low impact sport for anyone
to take up.

The cost of golf can be brought down with 2 for 1 golf
offers as well as getting golf equipment insurance to cover
any lost, damaged or stolen clubs.

Ideal for golfers who want top-of-the-line GPS assistance on
the links, the SkyCaddie SG5 Golf GPS is integrated with the
very best Swiss engineering to provide unmatched
reliability. It features, a large color display with
automatic backlighting to ensure easy readability indoors
and outdoors, and a long-lasting rechargeable battery (with
up to 14 hours of continuous use). It?s also equipped with
Sky Golf's patented IntelliGreen technology, enabling
golfers to measure the full depth and shape of the green
from any angle of approach, both on or off the fairway. It
is accurate to less than 2.5 yeards so the tolerances are
very high.

While it cannot give you the exact distance to the flag like
a laser based unit, by using the distances to the front,
middle and back of the green this is more than enough
information for the majority of golfers.

There is an annual membership to Sky Golf's database of over
24,000 courses. This is typically $49.95 for the US country
plan, $59.95 for the worldwide plan for one year. There is a
three year worldwide plan for $129.95.

The unit will hold up to 10 courses at a time which is
enough for most active golfers even on a golf vacation.
Courses can be added and subtracted at anytime so the
restriction of 10 courses should not be a hinderance. The
unit connects to a PC via USB and supports Windows operating
systems.

From personal experience I know most of the members at my
golf club are using the Skycaddie units either the SG5 or
the black and white screen SG2.5. The units when placed in a
cover are robust and when strappped to a golf bag are
quickly accessible. They seem to help with speeding up play
when distances are needed and a great feature for tracking
the distances of your shots can help in club selection
further into the round.

Overall the Skycaddie SG5 is the leading unit at a
competetive price around $310 compared to other golf GPS
units. If you can put up with the annunal membership fee,
then it is the one for you.

The driver is the hardest club to hit the golf bag – not
only is it the longest golf club in the bag but It also has
the least amount of trajectory which means you have to be
very, very accurate when hitting your drives. The good news
is that hitting the driver isn't actually that hard when you
know how to do it which is why the pros can hit drives 300
yards consistently and get on the fairway in the most
situations.

I spent the last two months try and add yardage to my drives
by following golf tips from the world's long drive champion
of 2003 – Eric Jones. Over the last four weeks are managed
to add somewhere in the region of 30 to 40 yards to my drive
on average simply by following a few drills which I'm going
to share with you today.

Great extension in the backswing

if you watch all the great professionals like Tiger Woods,
Sergio Garcia and John Daly then you'll notice how they
always have a great extension at takeaway. This means that
when you address the ball you should have a swing thought to
take the club backwards away from the ball as far as
possible. There is one thing that you can do to encourage
the swing thought and make the takeaway as natural as
possible. Put a golf tee into the ground behind the ball and
make sure your clubhead hits the tee on the take away.
Practice this feeling with a couple of buckets of balls down
the range and you'll naturally take the club back on the
correct path with great extension.

Don't grip the club to tightly

This is a very very common mistake among amateurs – they
think that because they're going to be using driver that
they need to grip the club tightly. Unfortunately, this can
really take distance from your drives. A tight grip means
that you are unlikely to release the clubhead properly
through impact which would lead to less distance and in some
cases a fade.

You can use your sand wedge to practice this – simply
address the ball as usual and try and chip the ball into a
bucket about 10 – 15 meters in front of you. Make sure
that out of a scale of 1 to 10, your grip is somewhere
around the 3 mark. I always refer to this as soft hands.
When you pick up your driver again you can try and replicate
the feeling and really feel your hands releasing properly
through impact.

Weight Distribution

Another thing you should be thinking of when trying to
launch a long drive is your weight distribution. When you
take the club head back in the backswing you should be
loading your back foot with most of your weight. As you
come through into the downswing you should try and transfer
that weight to the front foot in a smooth consistent motion.
This is how you generate power in any sport where you have
to transfer body motion into object motion. For example,
baseball players do the same thing – they load up on the
backswing and throw their whole body into the throw when
coming through.

If you can practice each of these tips then you'll be well
on your way to improving your drives. Using these three
tips alone I've managed to increased my drive substantially
and as a result knock a couple of shots off my handicap.
Good luck!

It's not your strength that's holding you back form hitting
300 yard drives - it's simply down to technique! Discover
how to drive the ball further with Eric Jones, World Long
Drive champion from 2003.

One of the first things you need to have when starting off
in playing golf, is a good set of golf clubs. You can never
learn how to play the game and improve your skills while
using a set of clubs that you can't fully use to your
advantage. Mizuno Golf Clubs are very much popular for
beginner level players who haven't had the chance to fully
tap into their potential in becoming successful at this
sport. However, because the manufacturer develops a lot of
models, you might find yourself confused when trying to pick
out the set you want if you don't do the necessary tips to
make it easier for you.

Study Your Style Of Play

Every golf player has a unique way of playing the game. It
may come in the form of an unorthodox swing, by using the
left hand, or maybe even sinking a putt blindfolded. The
point is that to be effective in this game and to pick out
the Mizuno Golf Clubs that are going to work for you, you
have to know what kind of golf player you are so as you know
what kinds of features would benefit you most.

Researching The Equipment

If you already know what kind of features you want in golf
clubs, then it would be best if you took the time to find
out about the golf clubs that Mizuno manufactures and find
out which of them would suit you best. This would likely be
easy for you to do because of the internet. Just log on and
try to look for reviews made by people who already have
them. They are usually reliable in gauging whether a certain
model of Mizuno Golf Clubs is worth it or not. Just to be on
the safe side though, refer to a couple of reviews for each
item.

Doing A Test Run

If you did the first two steps, then you should've already
found a set that you'd like. Try to test them out first
before making your decision. There aren't that many things
for you to consider so finding the ones that are best for
you should be an easy task by testing them out. Make sure
you stick to the qualities that you need in golf clubs so
you get exactly what you need.

Before long you'll notice improvement in your game and
pretty soon, you'll be beating your friends and competing
with your buddies.
