The Annika Sorenstam Resort Golf Academy
Golf has been a passion with people all over the world.
Playing golf certainly isn?t a piece of cake. It takes hard
work, dedication and passion for one to become a
professional golfer and win at tournaments. If you are a
golfer, then you would certainly know what efforts and hard
work it must have taken for someone to win 72 LPGA
tournaments, ten major championships, 85 professional wins
the world over, eight LPGA player of the year awards, and a
place in the golf Hall of Fame. We are talking about none
other than the greatest female player in golf history and a
global icon, Annika Sorenstam. She had a dream of starting a
state of the art golf facility which has now become a
reality with the Annika Sorenstam Resort Golf Academy.
Annika worked hard on developing her skills under the
guidance and tutorage of her two coaches, Henri Reis and Kai
Fusser. The same golf instruction is available to you now
through the Annika golf school in Orlando. The academy has
everything that is needed to make a complete golfing
experience, from excellent ground to fitness equipments,
locker facility, customized training and nutrition plans.
The golf academy has developed special golf packages in
Orlando like Championship package, Platinum package, Dynamic
Golf Analysis package etc to cater to each and every
specific need of the golfer. You can come here alone or as
part of a group and you will receive golf instruction that
will help you improve your game and take it to the next
level.
The golf school in Orlando is also one of the Callaway
Performance Centers [CPC]. The center does a complete
analysis with the help of a dual camera based 3D launch
monitor system that not only studies your club head and golf
ball speeds but also your launch angle, back spin, club
path, attack angles and side angle. This is the same
technology that is used by professional golfers who take
part in the PGA and LPGA tour. The golf academy makes this
technology available to the common man so that he too can
improve his skills with the help of the CPC. It has trained
specialists who will analyze and interpret the Callaway
Performance Analysis System results and help you to choose
the correct golf equipment for yourself and thus improve
your performance by leaps and bounds.
There are two swing booths in the golf academy that are
built with the purpose of improving your swing. They boast
of video swing analysis systems, K-vest swing analysis and
training systems, and a ball flight monitoring system. Your
swing will be closely monitored with the help of four high
speed cameras and you will receive immediate feedback on
your balance, tempo and posture.
The K-vest analysis system is put in place for improving the
efficiency of your golf swing. The system uses strategically
placed sensors on your upper back, left hand and lower spine
to check your posture, alignment, spine movement during the
swing, hip bend and tilt during the swing, hip pivot at the
top of the backswing and hip and shoulder turn. The system
produces numbers which are analyzed by experts who will then
provide you with golf instructions that will help you to
improve your swing.
Apart from this, there are golf instructors like Charlotta
Sorenstam, Henri Reis and Kai Fusser who would help you to
become a professional by coaching you personally at the
academy.

3 Things You Can Do to Improve Your Golf Swing
Once you begin playing golf there will always be something
in your golf game that you can improve on, you will never
master the game of golf due to the different elements
involved in the game. In this article I will give you three
ways that will help you to improve your golf swing.
The first thing you should consider when you want to improve
your golf is make sure the equipment you are using is
correctly fitted to your golf swing. At one time, it was
only the elite that had this service available to them but
now anyone can go to a golf retailer and get custom fitted
for their clubs. Having your clubs custom fitted will
probably take you around a couple of hours and the cost will
be around $30 for this service, spending this time and money
to have this done will help you to improve your golf.
There is no point putting hours of practice and effort in to
trying to improve your golf game if the equipment you are
using is not set up right for your swing, one great way of
testing the different clubs is a club manufactures golf demo
day. You can find the dates and location of these demo days
by searching online for golf demo days, the people that run
these demo days will point you in the right direction for a
set of clubs to suit your golf swing. One problem amateurs
have is trying to improve there golf by using equipment that
is not set up correctly for them, so the first step to
improving your golf is to go get custom fitted for your
clubs.
The next step is to find a good coach that will help you to
improve your golf swing, one way of finding a good coach
would be to check out your local pro. You should ask people
who have had lessons with them and what they thought of
there teaching methods, this will give you a good idea of
what to expect when you decide to book lessons with them on
a regular basis. There is a downside to this method of
coaching and that is the cost of the lessons, they can work
out to be expensive if you intend on having regular visits
to your professional. A cheaper alternative would be to
search online for a coaching system that would help you to
improve your golf swing, there are a few to choose from so
check out the testimonials and find out what other golfers
think of their system.
There are two big advantages of going down this route, the
first one is that you only make one payment and the system
is stored on your computer so you can keep going back to it
to check what you need to do. The other advantage is that if
you think that the system is not working for you as you
would like, they will give you a full refund on your
request. You have a set time period where you can get a full
refund of your money, this will only happen if you feel you
have not improved your golf swing to a certain standard.
Which ever route you decide to take on having coaching you
should always stick with it, try not to take on board the
quick fixes and tips from your playing partners as they only
work for a short period of time.
How much practice time should you put in to improve your
golf swing, i know that most golfers have other things to do
with their time besides practicing golf, but you should try
and get to the practice ground at least once a week even if
it is only for an hour or two. When at the practice ground
you need to practice specific parts of your game that needs
the most work, the one thing you should try not to do is hit
balls without thinking of what you are trying to work on.
This will not be good for your game, and you would be
wasting your practice time in the process.
So if you are serious about improving your golf swing then I
hope these three ways will help you to achieving your goals
in your golf game, and try to remember golf is supposed to
be fun!!.

Online Golf – Discount Golf Centers
As we usher in a New Year and another golf season, it is
important that we understand what is available from online
golf. Virtually everything a golfer can imagine or desire is
out there in the online golf world, but much of it is really
worthless. Here is an outline of some of the best things
that a golfer can take advantage of with online golf, and
some tips for making the online experience better.
The first thing golfers can take advantage of is online tee
times. Technology has really provided golfers with the
ability to set a tee time from your fingertips at home or on
the go. A golfer can simply visit the website of many
courses, look over the golf tee time schedule, and write
themselves into the desired time slot. Be prepared to
provide a credit card, as many courses will require it to
hold the tee time for you. Here is a tip, remember to cancel
with the course or they may charge you for the round if you
do not show up. Also, be cautious using websites that offer
discounts or tee times anywhere in the country. These sites
often do not have up to date information about local
tournaments or other information that could ruin your day.
Just read the fine print and see how they interact with the
course before you book your tee time online with them.
Another great online golf resource is the availability of
golf books. Information about every topic in golf can be had
and delivered to your door, Kindle, IPhone, or IPad directly
from the online golf community. There are fantastic golf
books for topics like learning golf and golf swing tips.
There are some unbelievable stories and biographies about
professional golfers, as well as some great golf books
chronicling tournaments and events of all types. Golf books
are a great way to learn golf, learn about the golf swing
and technical motion, as well as improve your own game with
books of golf swing tips and strategy. Find some great golf
books to help get you through the winter or to get some new
perspective on fixing that slice.
Finding golf clubs for sale is easier than ever online.
Discount centers like Golfsmith, The Golf Warehouse, and
Edwin Watts can offer the newest equipment at very
competitive prices. The huge volume they move allows them to
offer low prices for online purchases, so if you know
exactly what you need it is a great way to get a discount
price. Here is a tip for buying online, look for specials
like free shipping or throw in bonuses like a dozen golf
balls free with purchase. If you are searching for used golf
clubs for sale you will find plenty on Ebay.com,
Craigslist.org, and other websites connecting sellers with
buyers. Another tip is to list your old clubs for sale to
the online golf community and you might just get enough
money from them to buy that new driver or GPS from an online
discount golf center!

Golf Instruction Tip – 2 Tips to Hitting Better Approach
Shots
If you spend most of your round scrambling from off the
green, you need to work on your approach shots. These are
shots coming in from 80 to 150 yards away. If you can get it
on the green instead of landing in the bunker or rough it
will save several strokes a round. Here is 2 golf
instruction tips to help you land on the green more often.
Golf Instruction Tip #1: First thing is to aim for the
middle of the green. When I am struggling getting on the
green more often than not it's because I am aiming for the
flag. This alone will having you hitting more greens on a
consistent basis. More than likely if you aim for the pin
you will end up over the green because you are not putting
enough back spin on the ball.
Golf Instruction Tip #2: Second, check your alignment. If
you are aiming for the middle of the green and you are still
missing it, more often than not your alignment is off.
Practice your alignment!
Generally, when you are off the green it is due to
alignment, not distance. Most golfers have a 160 yard club,
150, 140, 130 or whatever, so most of the time alignment is
the problem.
If your alignment is correct and you are aiming for the
middle of the green even if you hit a poor shot, the ball
may go a little deeper or come up short. But even if when
happens, most greens are big enough that you should be on
the putting surface. Practice these two things the next
couple of rounds and you will see the difference on your
score card.

Longer Golf Drives – Turning On The Power
Many club golfers are constantly looking to hit longer golf
drives. There is no doubt that hitting the golf ball a long
way off the tee is an attractive and immensely rewarding
golf shot to hit. These are the kind of shots that get
noticed around the golf course, with everybody looking round
to see who is hitting their golf drives so far.
Can the average golfer hit longer golf drives?
They certainly can. Very often, the reason golfers do not
hit their golf drives very far is they do not know what they
should be doing in order to hit those longer golf drives.
Some equate distance with a fast swing. That together with
the erroneous idea that brute force alone is needed, will
often result in failure and frustration. All this leaves the
golfer floundering and wondering what to try next.
Take a tip from me, and learn a lesson from one of the
masters of golf, Fred Couples. If you ever get the chance to
see the Fred Couples golf swing, especially with the driver,
you will appreciate the sheer power and control there is in
that swing. He does all the right things that we need to
learn from in order to hit those longer golf drives.
Mainly, there is the smooth, flowing tempo. All golfers need
to have a full shoulder turn, keep the lower body still,
maintain the angle of the left forearm and club as far as
waist height before unwinding the wrists into and through
the ball at impact. This is the so called late hit, and it
is a characteristic of the longer golf drive.
It is beneficial to your golf game if you can learn, and
practice this late hit golf swing. From my own experience,
once I had learned it, I was very soon afterwards hitting
longer golf drives.

Learning the Game With Ladies Golf Clubs
It can be quite a difficult ordeal to learn the game of golf
especially if you don't know anything about the mechanics or
the basics of how the game is meant to be played. It can
even be more difficult for women if they don't have the
right equipment for it. Ladies golf clubs for starters have
to be used when teaching ladies how to play the game. The
reason for this is that these items will enable women to
learn about the game faster and improve their skills with
minimal supervision at best. There are several
characteristics that will assure this that a couple of which
will be discussed.
Better Handle
One thing that men's golf clubs cannot offer the same for
women is a better handle for the clubs. That is because
they're not made to be used by women. There are a couple of
issues that would certainly arise impairing proper handling
of the equipment by women. This is where ladies golf clubs
come in. They are made with precise engineering to give
women a better feel and handle for the clubs being used.
This translates to better form and a more proper grip.
More Accuracy
Because of the way standard golf clubs are made, women might
find it difficult in determining their accuracy while
playing the game. This is actually very critical in golf
especially when you're just learning about the game. If you
can't see how bad your accuracy is, chances are you're not
going to improve any time soon. Ladies golf clubs
practically eliminates this problem for women. In fact, they
even improve the accuracy of the ball by allowing the player
to swing with a more solid hit. This in itself is a very
helpful factor when playing golf. You'll be able to see the
benefits more closely when trying to sink a putt using a
putter, if you're stuck on the bunker or if you landed on
the rough green.
Added Strength
Another thing that makes these types of golf clubs more
suitable for women is the fact that they add more strength
to the swing through various designs that adds an extra
punch and makes you utilize the club the right way.
These three are only some of the benefits that a woman can
get when she uses ladies golf clubs. Of course, constant
practice and proper instruction will still be needed. These
items though will amplify whatever skills you already have
and will make it easier for you to acquire new ones and
improve the ones you already have that will help you in
playing golf.

Golf is a Fun Game – Would You Like to Play it Better?
Are you new to golf, or have you been playing for years? Do
you ever get any better? Have you taken more than one golf
lesson? Do you have thoughts of quitting, but then hit one
good shot, which renews hope that you can figure out the
game?
Do you hit on top of the ball, hitting little grounders that
do not go very far? Do you hit shots that start left and
then slice all the way across the fairway? Do you hit little
pop ups that go off to your right?
When you hit a shot square that goes straight, does it go 30
yards to the left of where you are aiming? (these are for
right handed golfers) Did you know that each of these
different shots are caused by the same thing?
Do you ever think that there is some secret that those in
the know, will not teach you? Golf pros might not teach you,
but the solution is in plain sight. The next time you watch
a golf tournament on TV, watch the swing analysis of all the
pros.
When every one of them hits the ball, they all have their
weight on their front foot, and their hands ahead of the
ball. Now go to your local driving range, and count how many
people hitting balls, look anything like the pros. The vast
majority leave their weight on their back foot.
You can have the perfect set up, the perfect grip, perfect
stance, perfect back swing, but if you leave your weight on
your back foot, your shot is doomed.
To use an example from another sport, have you ever seen a
baseball pitcher throw a pitch without moving his legs. If
you see a picture, the ball is still in his hand when his
weight reaches his front foot.
Here is an exercise to try the next time you are at the
driving range. Take a practice ball, stand flat footed, and
see how far, or how accurate you can throw the ball. Now try
the same thing moving your weight from your back foot to
your front. You will have to admit that the second exercise
there was more distance and better accuracy.
Golf is like most other sports, in that they are dependant
on the lower body. Any time you hear someone talking about
tempo, they are just referring to the upper body and lower
body working together.
If you want to play better golf, find a way to get your
weight on the front foot. Pay attention to the slow motion
swing analysis of each pro. Golf pros have different grips,
different stances, different back swings, but they all have
almost the same position when they contact the ball.
Rick Carpenter is a former golf professional who is still
amazed at all of the information there is about golf, all of
the improvements in golf equipment, all of the teaching
pros, all of the golf courses and practice ranges, why do
most people never get any better at golf. Go to the

A Simple Golf Swing Can Provide Power to Your Game
Do you slice, hook, or top the ball off the Tee? If so you
need to simplify your swing and add control and distance to
your game. We are all unique individuals, with different
body types and over time we unconsciously develop bad habits
in our golf swings and they become complicated.
As amateurs, we need to realize that it is nice to want your
swing to be huge like Tiger's of Phil's but it is not going
to happen. Those guys have a natural talent that has been
groomed since the were little. We don't have the time or
resources to develop those kinds of skills. So, we develop
extra motions, loops, swirls and hitches that add many
different variables to our swings that can cause many
different problems that we do not have time to fix.
Sometimes, we are unaware of them, so we go to the range and
actually practice our bad habits, which makes things even
worse. I am a huge football fan. Did you ever notice that
when a team is struggling what the coach's always say. "We
have to take things back a step and get focused on the
basics, blocking, tackling, ete." Well, the same thing is
true for golf. The big secret is that you will also add
Distance and Control and it will happen very quickly. Maybe
you like the way that you hit the ball, for the most part,
but once in a while, for some unknown reason, it leaves you
and goes away. This has happen to me many times, especially
on the Tee.
Sometimes, it just takes one bad Drive and you are suddenly
struggling to get it back. You are saying to yourself, "that
felt OK, what happened"? At that point, it is nice to have
the safety net of breaking down your swing on the spot and
regaining control. I have seen many good golfers do this,
especially in tournaments. You even see Pros doing it after
a bad shot as they are walking towards their errant ball.
They mimic what they want to correct in the swing, that led
them astray. You don't have to swing hard to gain Power.
So, if you would like to get rid of all these bad learned
behaviors fast and add length to your game, think about
breaking your swing and simplify it. you won't regret it.

golf and other sports. If you are struggling with your swing

How to strike the driving shot in your golf round
How to strike the driving shot in your Golf round The no 3
wood driving shot is a shot likened with the planet number
1, Player who easily crunches the 285 yard limit with a 3
wood!
It's a very powerful shot that, when carried out correctly,
is a great alternative to the driver if big bertha is
playing up. More importantly however, he more often than not
finds the centre of the fairway with a driving shot because
it promotes further accuracy. You will feel more in command
and the ball trajectory the shot generates is both piercing
and ensures run on the fairway.
In fact, there are many reasons to have this shot at in your
armoury. The little changes to your stance and swing it
requires are well worth developing as follows: Tee the ball
up low and aiming a little left of the target - push the tee
down low, take your 3 wood and place the golf ball in the
middle in your stance with your weight a little more on your
target side.
In addition you need to aim a little left as the ball
position makes the club collect the ball a little sooner, so
the clubface will be to some extent open Hold the Grip
further down the handle - this will give you much more
control over the golf swing, but do not forget to keep your
grip firm but not tight ,at say number five on a scale of
ten where ten is very strong. Reduce the tension in your
arms and hands to get the effect of a nice fluid golf swing.
Do not forget to remember not to tense up, not only on this
shot but on every golf shot.Keep your Weight in the middle -
Your weight should stay in the middle in the backswing. Do
not move it onto your back foot. Limiting your weight shift
will allow you to stay on over of the ball, fully squeezing
it when it comes to impact.
This set up will provide a steeper direction of attack to
create that lower, more powerful flight which we are trying
to acquire Rediscover your club angle - at impact, the shaft
of your club needs to rediscover the forward angle it had at
address. Create this by keeping the hands a little in front
of the club-head as you hit the ball. This keeps the loft
off the club-head, sending the golf ball on a lower more
penetrating ball flight.
Shorten the follow through - holding back your follow
through is a natural situation to get into when playing this
kind of shot. This is because you are not allowing the club
to fully release, caused by the club angle you used to get
the lower trajectory flight.
Although you might not get the same yardage as a flawless
hit with your big bertha, but this type of shot will only be
a few metres behind. Importantly you will hit the short
grass far more often and in nice shape to go for the pin
with your next stroke.
Try this on the driving ground first and build up your
confidence with this shot; you will be amazed how successful
it is For more details and golfing tips click on this link:
