Left-Handed Golf Clubs – Giving Lefties a Fighting Chance
It can sometimes be difficult for a lefty to play golf. This
is because most equipment used in golfing, including clubs
are made for right handed people. Using a club made for
right handed people if you are left handed can be a problem
especially if you're not used to using them. Because of this
recurring issue, left handed golf clubs were developed so
everybody can enjoy the game.
Where To Find Them
If you're not really familiar with golf clubs for lefties,
then you might have a hard time finding them. Most of the
time though, they can be found at your local sporting goods
store, for very reasonable prices. To get the best deal
however, you need to do a little bit of research or window
shopping. The internet is great source for getting
information on anything you want. You should be able to find
out about left handed golf clubs, their prices and what each
design offers the user. Once you find the one that you think
would be perfect for you, then you can do a little window
shopping.
Buying Your Equipment
When you finally find the clubs that you think would be best
for you, don't forget to try it out to make sure you're
getting the right ones. However, don't pay for it just yet.
If you did your research, you should be able to compare the
prices you saw on the net from the price of the clubs on the
store. If it's way higher than the ones on the internet,
then you may want to take a pass first and just order your
left handed golf clubs online.
Proper Maintenance
Whether you're left handed or right handed, the fact remains
that a set of clubs can be quite expensive, and if not
maintained in great condition, could get broken or can get
some defects. Always remember this after every time you use
your golf clubs. Cleaning them regularly and making sure
they are kept in an area they cannot get damaged should be
top priority. If you don't, chances are you're going to be
out in the market for a new set of left handed golf clubs
pretty soon.
Let us not forget that the purpose of playing a game or any
sport for that matter is having fun. Being left handed or
right handed should never be an issue for players.

Choosing The Right Golf Ball
Novice golfers don?t provide a lot of thought to choosing
the right golf ball. They think of the golf ball as simply
a means that in reality is not central. After all, you?re
just hitting it around the course, right? Wrong! Having
the right golf ball can gain distance in your drives, make
it simpler to pull off skill shots, plus so much more!
On the whole, there are three styles of balls: balata,
two-piece, or a blend of both. Golf balls are made with
three types of uses in mind as well: distance, spin,
complete with control. selecting an appropriate golf ball
in actuality depends on what you are looking for in your
golf game.
Are you a low handicap golfer looking for excellent spin and
handling? If so, opt a balata golf ball. This is simply a
less hard ball that has a less hard casing and ensures for
further spin. This is the ball that mainly professionals go
for. They are generally more pricey than other balls.
Possibly you possess a higher handicap and are looking for
more range and robustness. This is where a good two-piece
ball will be paramount. This golf ball has a stronger
casing which creates not as much backspin causing you to
drive it further.
A quantity of golf balls are designed for not so fast swing
speeds with a lightweight assembly that traps air. They are
generally marketed for women or elders, but plenty of men
will select these golf balls for the reason that it brings
them additional distance.
Believe it or not the weather you are playing in can bring
about a variation in which golf ball you employ. Course
circumstances can also determine golf ball selection. Let?s
say the golf course has been flooded with rain. In this
case, you will require a ball that will go longer plus
causes less spin. If you are playing on a rock firm,
sun-scorched track, select something softer that will land
soft plus spin.
Look at the temperature as well. Balls for men come in two
compressions ? 90 and 100. As soon as you strike the ball,
the ball compresses. Therefore the 90 compression golf ball
will be less hard than the 100. If it?s cool, the golf ball
will not squash as much so you will want to play a 90
compression golf ball. If it?s warm out, you will want to
go for the 100 compression.
In general, two piece balls are going to give you more
distance and they will be more robust so they will last
longer. Hard core golf balls will offer not as much flight
and can spin for superior accuracy. Even the dimples on the
ball will have an consequence on your game. Smaller dimples
lessen flight while larger dimples boost it.
Selecting the right golf ball really is central to playing a
skillful game. There are many, many choices on the market.
Search which golf ball you may want to use and then test it
out. Trial and in time, you?ll locate exactly the right
golf ball for you.

Beginner Golfers Golf Tips- Do We Play Better Golf with
Brand Name Clubs
As a relatively new golfer trying to concentrate not only on
"how to play golf" but also correct swing mechanics, I have
often read in online golf tips that the golf clubs I use
make a difference. There have been times when I felt that
the clubs might help my swing or give me improved golf game
results.
However, my initial logic based guess was "clubs probably do
not make a difference", at least for beginners because I
believed that our golf swing inconsistencies don't allow any
technological improvement in a golf club to make a
statistical or subjective difference. 'It probably works
for intermediate or expert golfers' was my rationale.
To be honest, I have always been skeptical of big name
branding on any products that have generic competition that
might, in fact, be the same product with a different label.
Generic drugs are a great example of how you can buy a
product that works properly without all of the costs
associated with brand marketing. Typically, it is the same
product at the ingredient level.
I backed up my belief that "it makes no difference" which
golf clubs you have in your hands by purchasing a basic set
of clubs (in other words, dirt cheap) to beat up while I
developed a consistent golf swing. The cheapies I use have
performed their job and my game has improved significantly
even with the 6 months or so of downtime that is force upon
me by the upper Midwest.
However, during our harsh winters I sometimes get to travel
to warmer golfing climates. In order to save my nerves from
wear and tear at the hands of the airport baggage
technicians, I usually rent golf clubs when I arrive at my
destination.
As a left-handed golfer, the clubs that are available for
rent are usually toss-aways from some generous benefactor of
the course. Many times when I have rented golf clubs I
usually felt justified in my belief that "it ain't the club,
it's the clubber" because there was no improvement in my
play, and most times there was the opposite result - I
played much worse.
This has been my general experience except for two
occasions? On one occasion, I had the pleasure of swinging
brand new Nike's and on the other, an older set of
Callaway's. When I played with the Nike's I chalked the up
the pleasant experience to something comparable to the
excitement of driving a really nice automobile. I still
downplayed the idea that technology could significantly
improve my play on the golf course.
However, I must admit that the old set of Callaway's made a
real impression on me. I can't say I have ever felt more at
home with any clubs I have handled, including my own trusty
dusty cheapies. When the caddie strapped them to my golf
cart, I looked at them and thought: "Geez, could he have
picked some older sticks for me to play with? I thought this
was a classy joint!"
Then I went to the course's driving range looking forward to
playing a beautiful golf course. I was told that because
the driving range was in the middle of the country club that
the practice balls were manufactured to deaden quickly.
Immediately, I felt that the balls weren't as dead as the
caddie predicted because they flew farther than expected.
I still housed a negative attitude regarding the Callaway
golf clubs so it never crossed my mind that they might be
helping the cause, somehow. It really wasn't until I was on
the third hole of the course and sailed my second shot over
the green from 225 yards out with a 3-iron that I realized
that the clubs just might be somehow? better. (A Three
Iron!! Believe me: I Really Hated Using Long Irons Prior To
This!!) The more I played the more I realized the clubs
were, in fact, improving my game.
I began to think that instead of downplaying the golf club
in the hands of the beginners who are learning how to
properly and consistently swing, the better approach for us
high-handicappers might be to ask the following question:
"if I purchase a set of clubs (new or used) what is the
lowest price point at which the golf club technology becomes
noticeably better for my game as it stands now?"
Then, the next logical question should be "What one thing
should I look for in my next set of golf clubs that allows
the clubs to maximize my abilities?" The only difference in
the clubs I could spot that was different from the clubs I
currently own, besides their age, was on the face of the
irons. The area on the face of the irons that usually houses
the circle deemed to be the 'sweet spot' was not a small
circle but an oval that extended over most of the face. If
the sweet spot was truly that large, I can easily see why I
had such a good time with those clubs.
Regardless of the answers from the gurus regarding whether
club technology can help your overall golf game, I now
personally believe that the technology can indeed make a
noticeable difference to our enjoyment of the game and that
is a nice step for me! Unfortunately I can only speculate
as to what variable or combination of variables the old
Callaway clubs contained that made the experience different
for me. The fact that the "Truth Is Out There" keeps the
game highly interesting though.

Promotional Golf Products – Teeing Your Way to Success
Golf is one sporting game that many people do not play
mainly because of certain connotations that it is a game
reserved only for the rich. However, despite the unfair and
erroneous tag to golf, the sport remains one of the most
popular in the sporting world.
In terms of cash prices and sponsorship alone, golf commands
one of the biggest draws in prizes. This is the reason why
among sporting personalities, the name Tiger Woods stands
out from the rest. All of these will testify to the argument
that golf is far from dead as a sport. In this aspect, being
well alive and kicking, businesses seeking to have a head
start can opt to use promotional golf products as the key to
a quick and clear tee for a good business swing.
Why Promotional Golf Products?
It hardly needs explanation in discussing why promotional
golf products provide a bog boon to business in the same
manner that golf is a major draw among sporting events. It
is the sleek finish and elegant design of golf clubs. But
more than this, it remains as the fascination of those who
are exposed to promotional golf products. It remains as the
major reason why using promotional golf products is such a
big draw.
Aside from golf clubs, one may also give away golf balls and
miniature golf bags as souvenirs. Any of these promotional
golf products are surely to leave a strong impression on
clients regarding the credence of the company or business,
leading them to the conclusion that the business is, just
like golf, something that draws the crowd close with its
silent but passion-filled moments yet keep people in awe
with the amazing strokes and swings to a perfect tee.
Maximizing Promotional Golf Products Use
When giving promotional golf products or using them to
advance the aims of a business, one must make sure that the
message will reach a wide audience. This is to make sure
that the purpose of the advertisement will be attained in
the first place and therefore avoid wasting time and
resources. To achieve this, one must make sure to distribute
promotional golf products only during times when there are
people crowding at one place. This is common during the
holidays or weekends when people flock to the beach or a
Friday night baseball game. In this way, one will be certain
that the company's name will spread far and wide.
Matthew Zande is an advertising and marketing expert. He is
widely knowledgeable about promotional products, corporate
gifts, and the like for which people have the need or want
to possess. There are so many products that fill the gap
between "wanting" and "needing," and people should be aware
of the many choices they have when it comes to merchandising
items. Finding the right product for the right interest is
the key to the world of merchandising, and his articles help
shed some much-needed light on what products work for what
people.

The Golf Swing: Your Divot Tells a Story
When amateurs watch the pros play golf on television, they
see that all of the best players in the world take divots
when they hit an iron shot, especially a high iron shot.
Then, they try to emulate them on the course, but do not get
the desired results. Why?
The answer is because a divot, in and of itself, will not
improve your golf results.
After seeing the professional golfers take divots, amateurs
will hit the golf course and try to take divots. Well,
anybody who can swing a golf club can swing it so that it
digs up a little bit of mother earth. Thus, taking a divot
on its own will not improve your golf swing. However,
taking the right kind of divot will improve your golf swing.
As a low handicap golfer, I remember the first time I
started taking divots. I hit a few good shots and my
playing partner said, "I love how you get that divot. It
looks a lot like the players on TV. How do you do that?"
At first I was complimented. After all, he was saying that
I look like the guys on TV. However, I was still not
getting the exact results that I wanted. In fact, I think I
took it to extreme as I remember thinking, "The bigger the
divot, the better I look."
In the end though, I was looking for results not big holes
in the ground. Here is how I improved my golf game through
a bit of divot analysis.
The reason for taking a golf divot is to ensure a descending
blow on the golf ball to create compression, get a clean
strike on the sweet spot of the golf ball, and increase spin
to control the ball landing, ideally, on the green. Many
golf ball reviews suggest that this compression and spin can
be drastically improved also by the golf ball that you play.
It is ironic--and seems athletically counterintuitive--that
for a ball to fly high, we need to hit down on it for the
best results (thus creating the divot) instead of trying to
sweep the golf ball like most amateurs do.
As I said, I was successfully creating divots without
shooting better scores. One look at my divot told me quite
a bit. My divots all pointed to the left. This meant that
my swing plane was slightly off and my club head at impact
was not square which cost me a lot of distance and many
inaccurate iron shots.
Here is how I fixed my problem on my quest to become a par
golfer. I waited until the golf course was relatively empty
and, when I noticed that I would have the golf hole all to
myself for a good 30 minutes, I put 10 balls on the 145 yard
marker. I pledged to swing until my divots went straight
and not to the left. It took a little while to achieve
this.
At first, I was swinging to fast. I intentionally slowed
down my swing, made it very deliberate, and ensured all of
my divots were going straight. This exercise not only
improved my divots but improved my whole golf swing,
improving the plane of the golf swing so that I was "hitting
out" on the ball as opposed to "across the ball."
For me, it was imperative to do this on the golf course.
The driving range may work but you cannot do this exercise
on a golf matt.
Now, though I am far from perfect, I am taking a perfect
divot. This exercise has consistently shaved strokes off of
my final score and only took me about 30 minutes to do.
Occasionally, I will still revert to my old swing path.
However, now I can immediately correct it with one look at
the divot. Who would have known? A little whole in the
ground can tell you a lot about your golf game.

How To Fix A Golf Slice – 2 Easy Tips You Can Use Today
Because the golf slice is such a big problem for golfers,
many of them ask how to fix a golf slice. You might be
surprised to learn that a high percentage of golfers suffer
from this golf fault. You can choose to live with the golf
slice, by allowing for the curve shot to the right every
time. But, in doing this, you are sacrificing distance,
especially with the driver. In this article, I am going to
show you how to fix a golf slice for good.
As you surf the internet looking for a golf slice cure, you
might be a bit overwhelmed by all the good advice there is
about the golf slice, its causes and cures. Very often you
can be more confused about what you should be doing than you
were before. I am going to show you two simple, but
effective cures for the golf slice, which will straighten
out your golf shots. Just bear with me and give them a try.
1. Pick up a club and have a few practice swings, with a
small towel tucked under your right arm. Do this a few times
so you can memorize the feeling. Then, use that same feeling
in your next golf shot. This exercise will train you to
swing from inside the line of flight, and will cure the over
the top golf swing, which makes you swing across the line of
flight from outside to in, which in turn causes a slice.
2. The second tip has to do with keeping the swing on plane.
You do this at address, by placing the weight slightly more
on the right foot than the left. From this position it is
easier to swing to the top of the backswing, and be on
plane. Simple, but effective.
I hope you have enjoyed reading these two quick tips on how
to fix a golf slice, and that by using them, you bring an
end to your golf slicing troubles.

How To Break 100 ? Advice For The Golf Beginner
If Tiger, Phil, or any other pro makes an 8 (a snowman) on
any hole, that is terrible. Your average score on a par 5
is 7 or more right now. For a golf beginner an 8 is really
no big deal. 10 is the score you should avoid. The
difference is a pro is trying to break 70 and you are trying
to break 100. Don't let par, Tiger, or your buddy set your
goals.
To break 70 on a par 72 course Tiger needs 3 birdies and 15
pars. He plans his rounds thinking about which holes he can
birdie. Do you plan your rounds thinking about what score
on each hole is reasonable and achievable for you?
To score 99 on a par 72 course you must average 5? shots on
every hole. Somebody is asking themselves: ?How do I score
? of a stroke on any hole?? Obviously you don't! On the
first par 4 you score a 5 and on the next par 4 you score a
6. The average is 5?.
On the first par 5 you score a 6 and on the next part 5 you
score a 7. On the first par 3 you score a 4 and on the next
par 3 you score a 5. The average of all that is 5?.
(6+7+4+5=22 and 22/4=5?)
To break 100 you must average bogey and ? stokes per hole.
To break 90 you must average bogey. If you don't believe
me, do the math. Now you understand the math, but what is
the plan?
First, improve your skills. Don't bother setting goals in a
skill based activity unless you intend to improve. A goal
doesn't make putts or hit straight drives.
Second, set your next goal within sight of your present
skill level. If your average score is 120 then aim at
double bogey per hole (108). As you practice and improve
one or two parts of your game you will find those 12
strokes. You can't get to 90 or 100 strokes until you get
past 110.
Third, ask yourself what is par really worth? Par is an
estimate of what a scratch golfer should score on a hole or
total for the entire course. Tiger's par is really 68 or
less and mine is around 90. If your par is around double
bogey then add two strokes to the listed par for a hole.
Now you have a reasonable target for your own performance.
Finally, what happens when you do score a snowman? There is
no punishment beyond personal disappointment. Tiger makes
bogey sometimes, he just needs to shoot one more birdie to
make his goal. You need to score more bogeys and fewer
double bogeys on the remaining holes.
At this point in time you probably struggle more on par 5's
than anywhere else. That is normal! To reach a par 5
requires 3 accurate shots in a row. Can you really do that
right now? To reach a par 3 requires 1 accurate shot. You
will probably loose strokes on par 5's and make them up on
short par 4's and par 3's. That is part of your plan.
Remember pros love par 5's but they kill us.
Learn to play golf with joy. You may never hit a drive 300
yards, but you can measure your own progress. Set
reasonable goals and then practice to improve your skills.
Measure your game against your own growing skills not what
you see professionals do on Sunday. Remember you aren't
just an amateur, you are a beginner. Relax and enjoy every
round.

Golf GPS Systems
Global Positioning System, or GPS, is a navigation system
that uses satellites to show its location on the planet.
The system offers reliable positioning and navigation
constantly and is free to everyone with a GPS receiver.
Originally, GPS was not intended for public use, but once it
was opened to the public, the system advanced in ways never
dreamed of by its inventors. One of developed improvements
is a way to help improve one?s golf score.
Golf GPS units are becoming more and more popular. As
people arrive to play their game and rent a golf cart, the
option is now available to rent a Golf GPS unit as well.
The units are used to determine the golfer?s distance from
the green and other areas on the course. Basically, the
unit consists of a unit with GPS capabilities that holds
data about the golf course being played on. This data
includes maps and any other information about the golf
course that is important to help playing that particular
course. The unit stores information regarding a course, or
many different courses. In order to receive the information
about a specific course, that information must first be
downloaded to the system.
There are many benefits to playing a game of golf with this
GPS unit. With the information provided, one can know his
or her exact distance to the green. This can improve the
pace of the game by eliminating the need to step off
distances from a yardage marker or using a yardage book for
the course. The Golf GPS unit can also track golf balls
that contain implanted trackers in them, making it
impossible to lose another golf ball. It will not always be
an easy retrieval, however, since deep water hazards do
still exist.
A number of different options are available when it comes to
Golf GPS devices. They come in a variety of sizes and offer
different features. Some features include keeping the user
aware of the distance from targets while on the course,
showing this length with one push of a button. The system
shows the golfer any hazards or trees that are in the path
of his or her drive. Certain systems may show hazards such
as front, center, and back of the green, sand bunkers, water
traps, lay-ups, and carries. For even easier access to the
GPS information, there are some cell phones that can act as
the Golf GPS unit with the right program.
A competing technology to the Golf GPS unit is the laser
rangefinder. One advantage of the laser rangefinder is that
it does not require any course data. Golf GPS units need
the information from that particular course loaded into the
unit. A disadvantage of laser rangefinders, however, is the
time needed to use it effectively. Golf GPS is a much
easier and faster system to use.
For anyone that holds an interest in improving their golf
score, a Golf GPS unit is an item that should catch their
interest, and people that love golf appreciate them. With
the information provided by a Golf GPS device, the strokes
are almost guaranteed to fall from your game.

The 5 Elements of a Perfect Golf Swing
If you are looking to improve your golf game and lower your
score, the main thing you should be focusing on is improving
your swing. Don't worry about buying new clubs or anything
like that until you have mastered the basic fundamentals of
the golf swing. There are 5 elements of a perfect golf swing
that every golfer should work on.
The first is the grip. Hold the club in a grip that is
comfortable for you, with your hands facing in towards one
another. Make sure you are using the exact same grip every
time you swing, or else you will have inconsistent results
on the course.
The next element of your swing is your stance. Just like the
grip, make sure you are standing in a way that is
comfortable for you, and be sure to stand that way for every
swing if you want to maintain consistently low scores.
Next is the backswing, or the part of the swing where you
lift the club back and prepare to hit the ball. Many golfers
make the mistake of having too much backswing, as though
they are trying to whack the ball as hard as they can in
order to get the most distance. You should instead focus
more on accuracy and precision, rather than distance.
After that we have the downswing, where you actually hit the
ball. Make sure that your body is not twisting and turning
too much or too little, or you will not hit the ball
straight.
Finally, there is the follow through. When you hit the ball,
be sure not to twist the club or you could cause a hook or
slice. Many golfers find that they have a chronic slice
which is actually caused by improper follow through.
If you're struggling with your golf game, I completely
understand how you feel!
It can be so frustrating watching ball after ball kick up
sand as they land in the trap or make that familiar *splash*
as they fall into the pond.
There are a lot of products online claiming to be able to
help you improve your game. I've bought a whole bunch, and
most of them SUCK!
I don't want to see golfers like you being suckered into
wasting money on products that don't deliver on their
promises (like I was!)
That's why I've hand picked and reviewed the 3 golf products
that helped me improve my game more than any others, and I
know they can do the same thing for you!

Golf Chipping Game
In golf each and every shot is equally important whether you
are driving, chipping or putting. If any one of these goes
wrong then it can affect your score badly. I have seen as a
general trend among the golfers that they spend more time to
improve their driving skills. Because of that they posses
good solid driving skills yet they have not been able to
perform well in the game. Some of them remain confused where
their efforts are lacking?
Well, the answer of the question can be problem in your golf
chipping game.
If you are one of them then you need to take your short game
very seriously. Golf chipping game is totally different from
driving. In driving you need to get the maximum distance but
in chipping the main factor remains accuracy. Generally an
amateur golfer hits the chip shot either fat or thin. They
can't able to make out how much air and how much rolling is
required to get a perfect chip shot.
There are some of the factors that must be taken into
account before going for a chip shot. These are as follows:
The Lie - The lie is the position of the golf ball after the
tee shot. The good lies are the areas like fairway and the
green while bad lies include the areas like bunkers, pine
straw and the rough. The uphill and downhill lies are
considered as tough lies.
The Club Selection - The selection of club is very important
in the chip shot. If you require more distance in your shot
then you can opt to choose long iron clubs like 3 to 1 iron.
Mid iron clubs like 5 to 7 are available for lesser
distance. If you want more loft and accuracy in your shot
then choose the short irons like 8 and 9 irons. Sand and
pitching wedges also comes under the category of short
irons.
Well, generally it is the combination of both of these
factors that contribute to a good chip shot. The key area of
concentration of chipping game is accuracy which comes when
you will be able to roll the ball as much as possible.
You also need to prepare yourself for uphill and downhill
lies. The point of concern in these lies is the controlling
of body weight during the swing. The point to remember here
is uphill lie add loft while the downhill lie reduce the
loft of the club. In order to improve your golf chipping
game start practicing your short game with the variety of
golf clubs.

chipping game and golf putting. Various novice golfers look
